I clicked on the link to check out your work not looking at the URL. I would not have voted for it otherwise. I think it is just an average black and white picture that doesn't deserve my vote. What feeling of accomplishment are you going to get from tricking people into voting for your picture? Now we know the voting system can be rigged which kind of cheapens it's value. Do you get any sense of accomplishment from that??

Slug, Emily, is there anyway of getting those votes invalidated.

I think its funny that he did this, So what if you voted for it not knowing I think it was clever myself. At least its doing what he set out for....getting attention.

you to vote on. I t was a mistake as i voted for my own picture and must have copied that link instead of the plain picture one. As you say Bob there are much more "Worthy" pictures that deserve a Vote. I do not think it is acceptable though for you to get personal and abusive over such a small thing as a Vote for a Crap picture on a sharing site. I am new to photography and have never asked anyone to vote for my pictures only for advice and guidance. I know my pictures are not that good but as i say i am new to this and have a cheap Camera. I used to enjoy reading peoples views on my pictures and hoped to one day be able to be as good as some of the people i see on here. You Bob have upset me so much i feel like giving it all up all because of an honest error i did not intend to make. I have removed the picture now.

jjames, you did the right thing and pulled the picture and I accept your explaination that it was an "honest mistake" and I apologize for jumping all over you like that.

From my point of view, to be "tricked" into voting for a picture really cheesed me off. I take voting for pictures very seriously as I want the best work to be recognized. As it turns out it was an honest mistake and I can accept that.

PS The next time consider simply posting the picture directly into a message. Could have avoided all these bad feelings.
