What do you guys think of this picture? my friend says theres way too much in the picture but I think its an amazing picture. Also if you have a picture that you want peoples input then post here
I like the sense of drama to it, and I agree with you that there's not too much going on. Amazing picture though? It's very good but not spectacular, in my opinion.
I think it's more likely to appeal to those interested in the subject matter. I'd think about cropping off the foreground below the bollard. (That thing at the edge of the canal with the yellow top.)
As a viewer, I don't feel I'm in the good place to look at this scene.
Perhaps the angle of view could be different, more to the right side...
...creating a near to fall out of balance feeling...
Loosing a bit boat angle, but seeing more water line along the boat.
Just a feeling... <A HREF="http://www.pbase.com/leandre"><b>Jac & Lea </b></A>
I would tend to agree with gillettecraig about the appeal to those interested. I too would attempt to crop some of the foreground. BUT, the main issue for me is--What is the focus of the image? What do you want my eye to be drawn too. I am drawn to everything and the the metal thing going off at an angle from the left takes my focus right out of the picture. Perhaps having the ship not on the same plane with everything else. Let it come closer to you and then take the shot would help to make it the focus.--Rene
