Visited Death Valley with my family last week, the day after the record-breaking rainfall and floods. Most of the roads were closed, water was everywhere, and the mud was ankle deep wherever you stepped off the pavement. In short, it was amazingly different and wonderful! The wind blew hard for most of the time we were there, but really decided to blow the day they finally opened the road to Badwater. 50 mph winds blew quite a dust storm through the valley most of the morning and afternoon. While out on the Salt Flats taking pictures...and the wind blew my camera bag which I had set down, and started rolling it across the valley! More than once the wind blew over my tripod...it was fun to say the least. Though it was a 'family' trip, I was able to capture a few good photos of the experience.
