French & Italian Riviera Galleries...Input welcome

I vacationed along the French & Italian Riviera during Christmas this year and brought along my Canon Elan 7E body, Sigma 28-105mm Aspherical IF, & Canon - EF 75-300MM IS lenses for some experimentation, as I haven't had the opportunity to use them much. I'm a relatively inexperienced photographer who is always trying to learn new techniques. Anything that you can suggest for me to increase the quality and/or composition of my shots would be greatly appreciated. My latest gallery is located here: http://www.pbase.com/2000hoo/france_italy.
Finally, I'm considering picking up a Canon 20D base to use along with my current lenses & Speedlite flash. Any complaints or concerns with this camera that I should be aware of prior to purchasing?
