Member of family of "Goldenrod spider". Female 1/4 inch (5 mm).

Officially the strangest spider I've seen - I just took this photo, thinking it was an ant but when I looked at the photo I realised it wasn't quite ant shaped & has 8 legs. http://www.pbase.com/larena/image/40728459
