My picture with the least hits! - WHY?

Hi Everybody,

I have been with PBase for a month now and I enjoy it a lot!

I am trying to understand what makes a picture, PBStats from Arjun is a big help here... but...

Here (contains nudity) is my highest hit rate for a picture: 1100 (and counting... I'm sure )
and here is my lowest hit rate for a picture: 6 (you will have to view that one in the context)

They both have points of interest, so to speak.
I'll have to have another look to be sure.

I have been to your galleries a few times since I discovered them and they are very remarkable, they are also very wide, wider them most. Running my browers with the history sidebar on the left I do not see the right most row of pictures. I know I was one of the 6 hits as I used the next button to go through the gallary but would not have noticed the photo in the gallery view.

Is the hit count lower on the right most column of pictures?

it's an interesting point... i'd be interested in knowing if there are nude shots that HAVEN'T had many hits.. there must be some (am being serious.. not flippant!) - ones that are public that is!

I always feel a small sense of frustration when I have an image of mine that fills me with pride.. or means a lot.. but doesn't get many hits. It's a bit crap really as it's not about numbers IMO.. but you can't help feeling downbeat when you get little in the way of traffic.

I think the typo in 'theory' misled you. What he basically said would be in dutch: "beide tonen twee koplampen dus in theorie zijn ze hetzelfde, nietwaar?".

I must that it makes sense like this (I did not perceive it like humor, my mistake)...

About the two pictures, things changed considerably since my first post.
Again a lot of people went to see them...

Rates are now:

Best (contains nudity): 2164
Former Last: 130

Nude sells for sure and the former last one was just not getting enough exposure...

This has now changed by posting here!

I would appreciate it if you would put a warning on a link when it contains nudity. Now imagine the guys sitting all around the country looking at this stuff. I had no idea when I clicked on the first link. Nudity is utterly unnecessary and distracts people's focus from more important things! And it then affects your whole attitude towards women. Why don't you concentrate on their facial expressions, or try and portray their personalities in your photography?

I think we should get rid of nudity altogether on this forum.

I think many of the women in other photos on this forum look uncomfortable being photographed because of the large percentage of men who are addicted to pornography. They know what is going on in your head. Just stay away from it, man!

Vast subject that you touched upon here.
Difficult to debate over the internet about this.
I have more problems with guns than with nudity, but that must be a cultural thing...
