the moon

Post Thu Jan 08, 2004 5:32 am

I tried my luck at shooting the moon this past cold january evening and i really didn't have much luck, but i thought i would share anyway. For some reason i could not get the olympus c700 to focus on the darn thing. not sure what i am doing wrong.
any thoughts or direction is much appreciated.

I can't tell you much about your camera but here is one that I took this morning. It was taken with a canon D60 and sigma 50-500 lens at 500mm on a monopod. I do know to keep it from blurring it is best to use a tripod.

:D Hi !

What a great one !

Some days ago, I've tried to "catch the moon" too... It's not as big as yours

But I like it anyway... I used a Nikon Coolpix 5700 at full zoom range (280 mm) set on a tripod. Can you tell me what you think of it ?

Here it is : http://www.pbase.com/image/24845043

(I'm sorry, I don't know the way to insert the image in the post  )

Thank you very much :D

looks good.

the reason mine looks big is I cropped it, it was not that big in the original.
