I took this picture of my lantern (the lantern came off a sailing ship from the 1800's it was used on top of the main mast) on Dec 6th 2003. We light this lantern on our dock in the summer so we can find our way home at night. It is so bright you can see it about 1 - 2 miles away. In the winter it is used to light our walk way to the house.
