OK, So I am shallow and need affirmation from others to validate my artistic ability. All I have to say to that is Pbbbbllllllpppppttttt! :p

Actually, I think that votes more acurately show an artist what the 'public' likes best, as opposed to hit counts which can be a bit random, biased and misleading.

So Here they are:

I think both your 3 shots are quite good and deserve a vote.

Unfortunately I guess that the number between parenthesis are ... the number of votes, which in your case was 1 (will be 2 now with my votes .

As you can see, there are not many people voting for individual pictures (the first one has 11 votes only!), much less than for entire galleries.

Maybe veering off the topic of show and tell, but why are registered PBaser's not voting. As the previous posters have pointed out: only 11 votes in 7 days. I am sure that the photo has received many times that in hits. Is it that taste varies so much from one viewer to the next? Or are most of the hits from non-registered viewers? Maybe, we are just too lazy to click (I am guilty of that one). Or, is it something else?

Considering that votes and comments are such an important part of the 'becoming a better photogapher' process, I would think that more votes would be registed for more photographs. Believe me, votes help confidence and confidence produces better shots. And if you have time, leave a comment as well, it helps us all out more than you may know...

Actually, I'm curious as well. IS there a place where I can see how many votes an image has received by looking in my "edit gallery" page - or is it somewhere else. The general popular gallery pages don't seem to list any numbers. Does anyone know how to tell?
