Single (as in 1) Favorite Sunrise

Post Sat Jan 10, 2004 2:38 am

Post or link to your one (only one please) most favorite sunrise (not sunset). Can be your work or someone else's work.

Here is my show:

And here is my tell: This photo was taken from my daughter's backyard a few days after 9/11. I was leaving for my flight to Hawaii the morning of 9/11 when my wife stopped me and said, "you'd better watch the news". Anyway, a photo of significance for me in more ways than one.

This was shot while driving to work on weekend. I always have my camera with me these days just in case I see something. As I traveled some back country roads I found myself stopping and spending about 15 minutes shooting this sunrise. This is four images stiched into one. I didn't like the way Canon's Photostich was doing the job so I did it manually in Photoshop.

Jet lag is the greatest thing for sunrises. Had just flown into Havana the previous night, and the bed being uncomfortable as all hell I walked over the window to witness the sun rising over Old Havana, silhouetting a statue of the Virgin Mary.

Sunrise on my lake in NJ this past fall. Opps sorry very new here for posting so here is my edit and I hope I do not screw up the image (I do not have my twin here to help me). This picture was taken from my dinning room window this past fall. I wake up to this type of sunrise every morning (weather permitting). It is a great way to start the day.

Y'know, I'd like to see a lot more "Tell" with the "Show". So get with the Edit buttons, people.

I guess he wants a bit more literature on the context of the picture, like some memories associated with the pics I guess. :?:

I don 't like posting a lot of info with my pics usually, easier for pirates to find, steal, and label your picks that way.

ie: I post a nice cichlid pic without the name, no one will find it in a search engine and steal it, but the people here that i want to view it will be able to view it and ask the questions if they want to know anything about the pic.

I know...don't post if I don't want it pirated...I still like to let the pirates find my pics randomly by having to search and dig and not have just do a google search for them or a automated system to find them... At least the ones I post to forums that is.
