Gene, I have always loved that second one (link above for ID) and evidently I voted for it long ago. Now of course that vote is lost with the restart in image votes. I hope others who appreciate it will cast their votes though.

Lots of great pics here, actually. I like libragrrrl's bark close up, and darter's near-symmetry in mist, and I guess ALL of the rest as well! I don't have any that compare to these, but how about a tree that just became "parts" of a tree, fitting BOTH thread categories!
