I like the one you put here the best. And I like them better in color because the setting sun gives their feathers and eyes an irridescent glow and sparkle. I've never seen so many ducks huddled so close together...quite a sight. I see geese do that around here though.

I love ducks, and duck photos -- they always make me smile, because they look like they're smiling.

I'm sure that the lighting isn't bright where you are right now, but have you tried photographing without flash to eliminate the red-eye and white-eye? Some of the ducks that are resting could be photographed at 1/60 or even a bit slower without as much fear of blur.
