Sometimes we go on photo excursions with a fairly preditcable set of ideas in mind. For example, my trip to the zoo netted quite a few animal shots. So when I went to the Botanical Gardens in Corpus Christi, imagine my surprise to park my truck and turn around to find

pulling into the parking lot. Not having heard any sirens I asked the age old question, "Where's The Fire?" No matter, I was ready for the shot anyway.

Dynamically enhanced single raw image using Raw Shooter Essentials 2006, playing with the Fill light, Shadow and Highlight Contrasts...then final reduction and processing in Paintshop Pro.

hunted butterflies with not much success that day; while sitting on a bench this guy landed in my face - thanks nikon for the cp4500, would have been impossible to take with the canon350
