Could you please re-size the images. They are too large and take a long time to open.

You will use up a whole lot of your allotted space much too quickly at images this size. May I suggest that you post images no larger than 200 kb and/or 640 pixels at the longest edge. A lot of folk are still on dial up and they take such a time to download. If an image does not load within five seconds, I usually leave the gallery.

Cheers

Does look like you are having fun..

A few suggestions:
On your gallery resize for viewing on the PC (around 1280x960 works well)

Change the gallery style. That default on the main page is really slow on some peoples machine, plus you really can't see the pictures until they light up.

On your pictures:
Get a mono pod or try to shoot at no faster than 1/focal of the lens. This will get rid of the motion blur in some of the pictures. It's nearly impossible to get a sharp picture with 1/4 second shutter speeds without assistance.

Of course if you hit the lottery you can pick up an IS lens.

Nice subject matter keep it up and have fun...

Thanks for all the replies I will resize my images and reload them. I am on cable modem and didn't even think about the image size. Duuuhh! As for the motion blur could you let me know what photos in particular you are talking about. Some were taken with my Olympus c5050 but my new ones I am using a Canon 300d with a 28-135mm USM with IS. I just want to make sure I am doing things right. Again, thanks for all the replies!

Ahhhhhhhh-that's better. Yesterday, I didn't have time to view the gallery as the files were just too large. I don't know, I think the images look pretty good. I am also an amerature, so I don't get too critical of others unless I see an obvious area to improve upon.
Have a look at my gallery and give me your feed back. http://www.pbase.com/losiowy

I have finished resizing my pic files thanks for the constructive input. It has significantly reduced the amount of space I am using. Now that most users can look at the files back to my original post, any critique or advice on improvment is most appreciated. thanks!

Enjoyed the pics. Don't know about anyone else, but I enjoy reading a little about the pic too. A title, or caption, some galleries have themes or tell a story with the pics supporting the story. Just an idea. :D I'm not a photographer by any stretch of the imagination, so no input on subject matter or tips. Just expressing what I like to see when I view a gallery.

Much better now that they are resized..

As for the motion blur could you let me know what photos in particular you are talking about

The ones I was talking about were in the Phoenix gallery. Now that they are resized the blur doesn't show but at full size they were pretty soft.

So the setup you are using works fine for web but probably will show some problems if you make an 8x10 or larger...
