The shallow dof really makes your subject stand out. It looks like you had a long lens. One suggestion though, it looks a little dark. You might try tweaking the levels or curves and see if it looks better to you.

I used in fact a long focal (a 35-350 zoom).

I am a bit concerned that you find them dark.

I have tweaked the levels and the picts are not dark on my 2 monitors (one is calibrated)
