1934 Years since the destruction of the 2nd Temple

Today marks the 1934th anniversary of the destruction of the 2nd Temple and the 2591st anniversary of the 1st Temple - marked in the Jewish calendar as the Ninth of Av, a day of fasting and retrospection. This day throught the generations has been marked as a day of disaster and calamity. It marks the day of the expulsion of Jews from Spain in 1492 and the beginning of the deportation of Jews from the Warsaw Gettho amongst others.
