Here's the Thomas Viaduct at Relay, Maryland, spanning over the Patapsco River. It's the oldest viaduct still in use today (the B&O railroad became the CSX railway). Additionally, it's the only viaduct built on a curve. The Underground Railroad used it as a getaway. More cool facts can be found on the gallery I set up for it. (Browse to the gallery page for links.) I'm having trouble finding historical images of the Ilchester Tunnel. Throw some links my way if you find any.

History aside, this is one of my more challenging photos to take. It's a mosaic, or stitched panorama, consisting of 4 images horizontally and two images vertically (8 frames), plus an additional shot of myself blended in. (I took 8 other poses but chose just one.) The images were stitched together using Autopano for control points, PTAssembler to fine-tune the composition, and PanoramaTools for the projection and stitch. It was hand-blended in Photoshop. Comments well appreciated.
