I used to have boas.. cute baby you have there. Here are some of my daughter's pets.. the unusual part is these 4 think they are siblings, having been brought home as "4 chicks" at the same time/age.. too funny :)

This is one of thirty who have been more-or-less my pets for the last nine years. I can walk among them, hand-feed them, and pet them, and when I'm working on something out on the deck they like to nap around my feet-- preferably in the sunshine. During the summer they sleep through the night on the deck, and if their food is not put out when they expect it to be, they rap on the windows. Believe me, thirty raccoons rapping on your windows will get your attention! As far as I'm concerned, they're pets, but I suspect that as far as THEY are concerned, they own ME.

I live on the beautiful (and remote!) south coast of Oregon, near the village of Gold Beach. The wilderness comes down to meet the ocean and, along with many raccoons, our frequent visitors include elk, deer, bunnies, bear, cougar, beaver and otter (along the Rogue River, which flows into the ocean in Gold Beach), and sea lions ranging from adorable pups to 1,000-pound bulls. We also have great whale watching.

It's nothing unusual to see deer strolling through town, and last year a bear decided to spend three months hanging out around my house. (Having grown up watching "Grizzly Adams" I'd always wanted my own bear... <g>)

My PBase gallery http://www.pbase.com/w_d_p/shoshanna is filled with pictures of this area, so if you'd like to see what it looks like please come and visit!

Take care,
