Angkor Wat, Cambodia 2004: Hands of a monk. In Cambodia, becoming a monk for a few years offers young men the opportunity at some free education, so in a way it's like national service. But to a higher power. Accordingly, throngs of these young and affable ascetics flock to the ruined temples of Angkor in their spare time, offering them a means of meeting new cultures and practicing their language skills - and offering photographers some unique candid opportunities.

Tour guide in Palawan, Philippines

We were in Philippines in August 2003. The most beautiful and friendly island was Palawan. At this morning we took the tour of underground river in Sabang. Our tour guide here is directing us to the boat. This was really nice day, although not sunny, but people there have so much sun in their hearts, that you don't care about weather.

Hand feeding the alligator in the swamp near New Orleans, LA, USA
It was another hot day during our Deep South trip. We spent 2,5 hours in one of the private swamps near New Orleans. There were a lot of alligators and the swamp was really beautiful.
