Black & White Galleries

Post Tue Aug 24, 2004 10:05 pm

I find myself increasingly drawn to black & white images, both for the viewing and in the making. I'm starting this thread in the hopes that it might become a way to easily link to your black & white galleries.

I started here: Black & White

My most recent work is here: Black & White II

And along the way, I made these: Botanicals in B&W

I also have been mixing some b&w in with my people pictures, but they are not purely monochrome galleries. (But feel free to go there too.)

Please visit, I'd like to know what you think, but most of all, please add your gallery links to this thread!

I look forward to seeing your work. 8)

Thank you for starting the links to black and white threads.
I find it hard to get away from my roots of photography.
When I was a kid and had my own dark room capable of only black and white, I dreamt of being able to process my own color work. Now in this new age of digital color I find myself dreaming of black and white.
Life is funny like that...

some of my black and white

Another B&W gallery!

Some fantastic work being shared here! Thank you!

I would like to add: Peabody Essex Museum

It's a black & white (except for a splashy ending) architecture gallery
derived from one dramatic space in the Peabody Essex Museum
in Salem, Massachusetts; a building by Moshe Safdie.

Beautifull galleries you have here. If you don´t mind I would like to add some links to discovered galleries that do not belong to me but that I think they´re great in every sense:

From CJmorgan: SELF IMAGES
From Naturephoto Monique: Wonderland
From Vince Belford: a whole bunch
From dR...: A master in portraits
From Stefan Rohner: Who is another master in B&W portraits
From Ray Soemarsono: A Journey Through Bodie Ghost Town

From my point of view those galleries are great but different between themselves.
