High-Key Portraits?

I have two portraits up that some have remarked as being too harsh of light. Personally, I think that they are some of my best work. *sigh* Anyway, could you look? Further, could you post links to other high-key work?

For my tastes I don't care for the lighting and contrast of these images. Creatively I think they are good however.

I also looked at your other portraits and feel that your better work excludes the 2 in questions. Just my 2 $.02

Okay, Learned a New Term: Rembrandt Lighting

What I am doing is NOT high-key, it is called Rembrandt Lighting.

I think the composition and lighting in your high-key photos is very good.

I think what some people may dislike about your photos is the highlight rendition that is characteristic with digital capture ... a very steep curve above Zone V.

Personally, with high-key images, I get better results above Zone V shooting with film. Here is an example ...
