I entered this image into the National Wildflower Photography Awards 2004 - theme was green cities. And I won! I am absolutely stunned and amazed!
This is the first time I have even entered a competition - and I didn't expect this success. Wow - I was speechless when the letter arrived! And am still smiling!!!

The vertical lines (fence bars, I'm assuming) are great visual interest with the flower. Nicely composed. Congrats on your win! Keep having fun with it -- I'll pop out and look at the rest of your stuff when I get a few minutes. ENJOY!

A big well done Damian. You shouldn't be too surprised at winning with this photo - It really encapsulates the theme. That's half the battle with competitions
