Sheila, that's a good shot but not a great one because I'm a bit picky: the wing tip is clipped and the other wing is not visible. :D

Cheers,
Kris

What a great shot. I am sure that it is very difficult to capture. The colors are beautiful and almost too much !!

Great shot! Great colors! Well done :)
One question: did you find the 20D to be way less noisy at high ISO setting than the 10D?

I have never owned the 10D - I previously had a D60 which was terrible above 400 ISO and with that you were pushing your luck!

Well, Kris, it would seem that your "birds" are the ground variety    Try taking a snap of an extremely fast lorikeet which isn't pounding a catwalk!!!

Hey I never said taking photos of "ground variety lorikeets" a challenge! In fact, if you look at my signature in other forums, it says "Kris - Bumbling Snapshooters". I'm just too lazy to create my signature here at PBase. :P

C'mon Sheila, you can take better shots of a lorikeet in flight than that! Don't make me remove you from my list of favourite photographers just because of that! :D
