Finally Finished!

It took two months, but it's finally done, and just in time...I am giving this album to my aunt for Christmas. I scanned the photos from her old albums and added many of my own photos as well, including some recent ones. I wrote several poems to go along with the photos, as well. The book has 52 pages measuring 12x12 inches. You can see them all here:

The bottom 4 are very funny --- nice touch to a very precious photo album.

Thanks, Jill. The hardest part, the "chore" part, was retouching the old photos, some of which were in awful condition, not to mention really tiny. In the old days they'd often make prints straight from the negatives, which, while larger than 35mm, were pretty small and a challenge to enlarge. And of course the old film was pretty grainy, so that just added to the "fun" of retouching them!

But it was worth the effort and I'm glad I did it. Problem now is that my husband wants one with his old family photos, and my mom wants her family albums redone...sighhhhhh...

Looking at the older images in the gallery you would never know any of the photos were in bad shape! The restoration work is wonderful.

Problem now is that my husband wants one with his old family photos, and my mom wants her family albums redone...sighhhhhh...

Well if you did not do such a great job you would not be in that predicament! LOL
