I think I liked the photo of the kids the best for a number of reasons. First, it had a more interesting subject matter, it had action in the kids and the wind blowing the sand and the lighting I thought was better.
The other two seemed to lack punch and drama. Consider bringing these images into PSP or Photoshop. One tool I like to use in photoshop is the backlighting tool. It tends to bring out contrast particularly with clouds. I would also push the color balance towards more warmer tones. It is hard to tell the time of day from the shot. Warming the shot would tend to suggest something closer to sunrise/sunset. In the future, I would seek out those times to take your pictures. The color saturation could be kicked up a notch or two, depending on where you want to go with the shot. If your intent is to capture the moment, you may not want to do much here. However, if you want to create impact, this is a fine tool to do it with.
With your permission, I would be more than happy to demonstrate what I am talking about.
