Along with my dog hobbes I also have a couple seals.
Suprisingly these guys make GREAT pets , In front is
Scooby Doo, on the right is Mr. Hamburger an in the back is
my pride and joy...... cuddles.

Yep, We just went for a swim and I was heading up to the lair
but scooby, Mr. Hamburger and cuddles wanted to stay and play some
more, Im usually pretty strict with them , for their own good.
I got cuddles first and used to let him up on the furniture
but had to put an end to that when he hit 500 lbs. He's slimed down a lot
now, I take him for 10 km runs three times a week. You know you get
some strange looks running down the highway with a seal. Its still not
near as strange as those people who take thier cats out on a leash, I mean how stupid does that look?

They certainly seem very placid and well tempered. I'll bet they are great with kids and old folk. What do you feed them.....I kind of imagine they like canned herrings or possibly tuna.

Having lived in Northern California for a few years a while ago I dont think it would cause much of a stir to take them out for a walk. There are more pot bellied pigs there than golden retrievers (and there are 10 of them for every person).

How about the house training? Any problems there?
