Are my pics good?

Could anyone give me advice on how to improve my picture taking skills? I have several shots in my galleries and im thinking that I am just not choosing the right things to photograph. could I get some advice on that issue as well?

If you want your photos to be more artistic, think about what you are trying to communicate to your audience. If you want your photos to be technically good, read, read, read, all you can about your camera and lighting. An overall suggestion for improvement; take extra time for each shot. If you want to get away from the "snapshot" look, stop taking snapshots and really invest some time in your photos. Otherwise, if you're looking to just have fun, keep doing what you are doing because your snowboarding pics looked like a blast! Feel free to ask me any questions directly.

I have tro agree with the last comment made. you need to take your time, try to think in your minds eye, what you want your picture to look like before you start snaping away! Not many of us settle for just one picture of the same subject, try taking a few and pick the best one that talks for its self. good look and keep on trying! you will get there!!!! Mac UK
