Hi again,
I was trying to find out about Barcelona on the net before going and was really surprise by the amount of things written about the problems with theft, pick-pockets and etc. From my experience, this is far from the truth. I have to say that this is one of the best place to enjoy photography and the people are really nice and friendly. Not only that, the weather was fantastic and the foods was good.
As far as the security is concerned, you just have to be sensible and exercise common sense. The police are everywhere (especially in tourist areas) and they make you feel much safer. I would recommend travelling in 2s at least so someone can always watch your back while you are busy trying to find the best angles
Try the cable car and go up the lift in Columbus statue for best view of the city. The statue might not be for those phobia of height though, very little room up there and IT SWAYS
