Shoot Joe...some of that crap in that thread is 500 percent more technical than a little ol' noise reduction or simple layer opacity changes huh...

Gee Joe...here is a post she edited 13 days after the fact and removed the incriminating picture.... the very topic of the thread.

Posted: 02 Dec 2003 11:38 am Post subject: Sorry...I never meant for this to happen!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: I have since removed that large image which was a composite of screenshots of a string of 11 of my galleries that showed up in the 7 day popular list, and the comments that went along with it got deleted with the image of course, so I will put the info right here so you'll know what this thread is about.

I run a photo art and retouching site called Innographx and I had told my members one day that new members had signed up since my galleries (six of them, NOT in a row, no cheating indicated here) had made the pop list. The extra exposure was bringing folks to my site since I had our Inno url in my galleries. I suggested to my members that they place a vote for my galleries "if you truly like it...NO cheating!" Those are the exact words I used. I also asked members to place the Innographx link in their pbase galleries where they presented photo art that was done from one of Inno's challenges.

It was all just common sense to help our free and fun site get some publicity, and my statement about votes was just part of the general recruitment campaign. I had no idea that just a few votes could have such an immediate effect and toss 11 of my galleries into the list overnight! At the time I think we only had about 4 or 5 active members who were also members at pbase...a few more active members may have joined Inno since, but they were not members during this mix up, and most of the new pbase members are just names on the list and are not active at all, so I can't assume they even read my post.)

That's all there was to it. It certainly was never my intention to cheat, as I will attempt to explain further in the rest of the post. END EDIT
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I wasn't going to say anything here, but I think I have to. It must look really strange to anyone going through the popular galleries list today, if it still looks the way it does on the screenshot I posted on this link, at least.

I was careful to say "only if you really like them...no cheating!" But folks want to help and I guess they can get carried away. I am sorry this happened. I do think my galleries are good, and you folks obviously also thought that 5 or 6 were good enough to be "popular" for some time now, but today...well...this is ridiculous, and not at all what I had in mind.

I hope you will forgive the mess I caused here, not intentionally I assure you! My innographx site really is full of friendly honest decent folks. Just a bit too enthusiastic perhaps!

Phyllis

Gee Jo...this one is pretty funny here huh? She added this in one of my threads.

I suggested this in the thread on posting images in the forum, but it bears repeating here because we have an example of a lot of large images occurring in a row.
I believe it's a good idea to use the /medium version of the image when adding one to your post.

Reasons are:

1. Some people still are on slow connections and if there are a lot of images in a thread it takes quite a while to download them at large size. I don't experience this myself, but this is what I've been told by many of my own members, so I'm passing it along.

2. The bigger images tend to "hit you in the face" in the forum threads and require too much scrolling, making it annoying to read the thread. Just my opinion on it.

3. The effect is not lost with a medium size image. In fact, when it doesn't fill the screen so much, you can appreciate it much more, in my opinion.

This is the part I find most comical. Gee Jo you want to define a number and the size "medium" to us paying customers and keeper of our own threads...

I will save all of the really big ones for later. i have a TON more.

Sorry if you got your popcorn for nothing. But I'm not interested in flamewars...not my style.

Intersting her and all oof her friends attacked me in the ps thread huh?

bold face lie...thy tried to flame me out of rp and it did not work. They made a new forum and were banned from rp. Now they are here trying to do the same thing here. honestly I can link probably 50-100 questionable posts, mistatements of facts and lies. I don't have any more time right now. Hope that helps you see one little story in there somewhere.

See ya around.

i could link another 50 posts of her off topic, irrelevant, dishonest at another site bs. Grand total of quality posts by stewart...very damn few.

Not a lie. I forgot. I have a very poor memory for things not dealing with human relations and secondary to my real life.

Here are some examples of what it's like living with this handicap:

1) I am a math teacher, and after all these years I still forget common formulas or procedures and have to recreate them or look them up.

2) I can't recall movie plots two days after seeing the movie. I have watched movies twice, all the way through, not knowing that I already saw it a few months before! Mark and my kid laugh at me, since they both can quote dozens of lines from every movie they've seen. They just don't understand how I could watch an entire movie and recall NONE of it.

3) I often can't even recall the steps I use in the photo art styles I've invented, and have to go back and read my own tutorials!

4) My hubby just shakes his head and sighs every time I ask him "What do I do again when I get the 'printer can't be found' message?" I must have asked him that one at least 20 times! Right now I can remember...flip the switch under the monitor. But tomorrow I may have to ask him again.

5) I've read some excellent books, but when someone asks me for a title, I can never recall it! Even some of my favorites.

My memory is "on and off"...hard to explain and very frustrating. I know I have the knowledge in my head, but I can't always access it.

As I get older, it gets even worse. It's a handicap I've learned to live with in this new world of computers with all the new bits of information piling up each day. Fortunately I have two gurus in the house to ask when I need to recall something.

No, it was not a lie. I really did not remember. I don't remember names of software or how to operate equipment or what the steps are to make a metallic image, etc. I wish I didn't have this problem, but I'm stuck with it. A memory problem does not equate with lying, however.

Do so then, and show the "flames" you claim they posted.

The only thing Trimoon said to you that you may not have liked was that you should "get help." And that sounds to me like good suggestion.

More flame from you and I don't want excuses i want you and your people to stop this non-sense.

What "nonsense" Don? Show some examples of the "nonsense" and the "flames" you keep claiming to see, because I see nothing like that coming from anyone except Don Northup.

Note: I was editing my last post as Don was posting this one, and I didn't realize that he'd already replied...sorry about that.

Phyllis you need to stop. You may never recover from this. You have posted to much bs. I reccomend you head back to inno and try to rebuild what you have left. My best advice.

Oh my! I just noticed this! Is THIS one of your examples of my "flaming?"
LOL! I was replying to Framewerkz there I think, because he said he had popcorn and was going to watch the flame war, so I set him straight. No one here will ever see any flames in my posts. Many are directed at me by Don lately, but I don't return fire. I post only corrections and facts in my defense.
