Oh brother. Maybe in your hands....

Really - do you think that nobody ever made a sloppy snapshot with a film camera? How quickly we forget. Now we can all yearn for the days of film and chemical emulsions, when shots were never poorly composed, and every exposure yielded a dynamic work of art.

You are right about one thing, though.... more pointless drivel.

Oh brother. I think you've gotten the wrong idea about what I've said.

I never said anything about techniques of photographing, but rather the feel of the photo finish. You can have same composition done by a digi and a mech, just as you can write the same message through e-mails and letters. What you've said is completely irrelevent to my analogy. Read my post again.

Well, I quoted you directly and your prior post says nothing about "the feel of the photo finish". So if there is a failure of communication, it is in the writing and not the reading.

And I still disagree with you.

I don't mind you disagreeing with me about the pros/cons of digi/mech, because that's anyone's opinion.

Read my post again, I'll even repeat it for you: 'digital cameras are like e-mails, whereas film cameras are handwritten letters.'
Where did you get mechs have better compositions than digis? How did you get handwritten letters have better contents than e-mail?
My analogy is a comparison, but I've never mentioned anything about pros/cons of digi/mech, emails/letters in my analogy. Read my post again.

Olympus C-765, Kodak DX7630, Olympus D-580, Casio Z4U. Once I get a lot better, I will get a lot better camera.

I don't know that I want an SLR although all of the really great pictures I see are almost always from DSLRs.
