Alex, I love the soft misty look of those!
JC, those first two look like Xmas cards.
Bill, I love the sun through the snowy branches.
Jill, has anyone ever fallen through the ice on that lake? Looks rather risky...great pic though.

The first three are in my Scenics gallery. They were taken with an old Manual Minolta camera and scanned from small linen finish prints with descreening, so the quality is not what it could be.

This last one was taken with a Canon DRebel EOS.

Bill, the farm right at the sunset really makes this into a great pic!

Wow - what an array of winter!

Bill - I just love the one with the pine cone! All you submitted are just wonderful -- you have a ve4ry good eye to catch the details!

alangrant - very nice shot - the lanters at each sight just draw your eye to the temple!

Sue - both are sooo winter, but the second one with the ice --- wow, I love the way that looks, I love the look of Ice storms --- as long as I do not have to dirve in them!!! LOL

pingu - one and two have such a cold misty feel, very nice!! and the last one with the frost! Cold, winter and the end of a season!

Phyllis I have my hat and gloves on as I look at these pictures! LOL
unfortunately yes we have had people go through the ice ---- I will ONLY venture on the lake when I know the ice is very thick -- and at that I could NEVER decsribe the sounds that the ice makes when the wind is blwing --- very scary!

george_iii - well I have my hat and gloves on, thanks to Phyllis, now I have my ice scrapper in my hand! LOL - now these pictures are winter!

Many winter images have been posted by me at:

I haven't really figured out how to insert images here yet. Suggestions and directions for dummies like me are welcome.

You just need to type ".jpg" at the end of your link (with out the quotes of course.)
