Don,

You make some very valid points here, and I must add---- and was tooo scared to ask you, what is tooth combing, I have never heard of that?

For some reason when I hear alogrythems (sp) all I can think of is search engines.....
now noise, I think that is one topic I am somewhat familiar with.

I use Neat Image to help with noise along with several other PS filters (blur being one). Don't know if that will help with your answer.

EDIT:
Fixed the spelling of alogrythems ---- that was driving me nuts! LOL

I never said that. I said just the opposite. My reply to your questions was that my tips thread was NOT for such technical questions. After you bashed me for two pages for not answering the questions, I stated that no amount of insults could make me know the answers to such technical questions. Then for several more pages you continued to demand that I answer anyway.

As for my "friends" coming here from Inno, I don't even know four of the people who have been asking you to stop your crude behavior...they are not my members. Just two of my Inno members have replied in these threads. Jill is one, and she has been very patient and nice to you, trying to calm you down. Nothing wrong with that.

NI is to slow for me with all of my images. At this point at least.

Toothcombing is the harsh effect you get when you use levels repeatedly on the same 8bit image. I learned a solution in the minolta forum but I forgot. I remember Petteri had a good solution but I just cann't remeber it.

If no one answers here with a solution. I will do a search for his. Toothcombing is what you see when you see the gaps occur in the histogarm. If you work in 16 bit this is not a problem. But timewise, this is not always possible for me.

As for the alogs, I am dissapointed with the interpolation theat ps uses and am curious as to what other solutions people are using for both downsampling and upsampling the images. Some use Infranview cus it incorperates the Lanzcos alog. there atre tons of different interpolation alogs. Some work better on some types of imas than others.

Since Phyllis does a lot of scan work i figured she may hav some she prefers. The other questions are just basic ps stuff.

Thanks for not contributing flame here. i appreciate it. Staying on an actual topic is good too. 8)

Cheers

Phyllis you are not telling the truth again. I asked the exact same questions earlier in the thread and the you completely ignored them. So i asked them again later.
Your sharpening tips and levels tips are are technical tips along the exact same lines as my questions.

If you did'nt want to answer my questions or did not know the answersyou should have said so. Someone else may have contributed the info instead of you trying to shut the questions dowwn.
Not say ":this is not for tech info" when you have already gave tip after tip of tech info. Meanwhile your boys and a another attacked. No ps info, just straight attacks on me. Prove me wrong. You can't.

I wish I had answers to your very indepth questions but am clueless on stuff that deep!

Yes Jill, To those of you inno members that are not flamers or liars, and you know who you are, I apologize for using blanket terms and generalizations when reffering to how inno members have been acting here lately. I really did not intend to offend any of you good folk. How is that tbnj?

Don do you mean me???

I hope not? I was thrilled you started this thread! It's the proper way to deal with the issues at hand.

I don't know if it is in the right section ---- gee politics!!! :o

But I hope you are not mad at me for saying that others may have a valid point...... :(

I mean if you and Steve have a one on one that's OK --- but to call him CDboy <g> I bought his CD's and thought they were great...... but that is another subject.

Don please do not be cross with me for looking at all sides, I always thought that is what you respected about me?
