NI is to slow for me with all of my images. At this point at least.
Toothcombing is the harsh effect you get when you use levels repeatedly on the same 8bit image. I learned a solution in the minolta forum but I forgot. I remember Petteri had a good solution but I just cann't remeber it.
If no one answers here with a solution. I will do a search for his. Toothcombing is what you see when you see the gaps occur in the histogarm. If you work in 16 bit this is not a problem. But timewise, this is not always possible for me.
As for the alogs, I am dissapointed with the interpolation theat ps uses and am curious as to what other solutions people are using for both downsampling and upsampling the images. Some use Infranview cus it incorperates the Lanzcos alog. there atre tons of different interpolation alogs. Some work better on some types of imas than others.
Since Phyllis does a lot of scan work i figured she may hav some she prefers. The other questions are just basic ps stuff.
