I would say, that the majority of my childrens portraits are natural light only, stop by and take a look...

This is a photo of my Neice. Sunlight was reflecting off our wood floor. Poor mans reflector, haha. It worked pretty good though. I now know I can take good portraits from 2-3 pm in between my livingroom and dining room... :D
