Djarvik, this thread is not to promote your own photos, but those of other members. As far as your portrait goes, she is a lovely girl, and it's a good photo, but I don't find anything really outstanding or special about it. I don't know about others, but I vote only for those photos that make me say "WOW!" Something with incredible timing or expression or composition or lighting or... well... just something striking and beyond the ordinary "good picture."

This one mentioned above by gpwed is one that I did vote for:

Thanks for the tip gp!

Bill, I love that first one of "roots!" The last one of the wet cat would be terrific if the overexposed nose/face were treated with the burn tool in Photoshop, so that ruined it for me...but wonderful pose and expression for sure!

I like this one largely because of the skeletal look...like rib bones. And the colors and composition work well.

And here I love the simplicity as well as the colors and composition.

Anna thanks for posting a link to carols work, will have to revisit that later, very nice stuff.

Phyllis, Pat Toher is on my favorite list because of her stunning great blue heron shots. Really exceptional images there.

I'm a big fan of fog and haze. I doin't live in area that gets it enough. Its a pain to break out the df-50's from work.
Zippo has a lot of great shots worth checking out
I think I like the swan shot the best . Something about it..... http://www.pbase.com/image/23702907
