One of my own personal favourite sunrises of 2003, both
watching it & shooting it. It was one of the most vibrant
& colourful sunrises I have ever seen. Of the 10 different
compositions I shot that morning this one is by far my
favourite with the addition of Mercury & Jupiter edging out
the others.

Shaun, that is amazing...all the different layers of color and the planets clearly showing.

Phyllis, Chuck thanks for your kind comments. It was kinda cheating because Hawaii is THE easiest place in the world to find good sunrises.

ugot2bkdng – Great shot and colors, I especially enjoy the depth of the clouds and the low horizon line.

Mpdequalsyfsm – The color is super and that bench in the foreground really works for me.

Yfsm – That has to be one of the most spectacular “Golden Pond” shots I’ve seen.

Floradoragirl – Nice use of the pine tree in the foreground to set depth.

hodad66 – Very professional looking image. I can see it being used in a variety of applications.

e_pixa – That is some HOT pink you got going there! Neat-o-keen!

Gwilburn – Super vivid color and I like the way the sun is just behind the ship.

annayu2 – All I can say is WOW!!! Nice shot!!!

Shaun – That is simply amazing color spanning a good portion of the spectrum. The stars really add to it as well.

Some absolutely stunnung images everyone!

I would post one but I don't actually have any sunrise shots. Sunrise is far too early in the morning for me

Time to start getting up earlier!

Regards,

Geoff.

Taken December 2003, outside my deck. We get pretty intense sunrises during the winter.

Sue, Nice shot.

Peter, Neat, neat, neat.

Okay gang, should we let Geoff do a sunset instead of a sunrise? :D

Naaahhh.. make him get up earlier. :) Seriously, I prefer photographing sunrises.. since I usually am too busy doing other things inside to even notice the sun going down. In my case, the back yard is for sunrises, and that's where my deck is.
