My Girl Sarie - She will make you smile!

My Girl Sarie

I volunteer with a dog and cat rescue organization. This is a picture of one of the dogs that lives with me. She is my heart! Her name is Sarie. This picture was taken while she was on the back of my couch trying to convince me to pick her up. She succeeded!

Her estimated age is 12-14 years. She is 3.5 pounds. She was found as a stray and lived at the shelter for two weeks before she came to me. Can you imagine a little girl like this on the streets!

She is blind in one eye because of a cataract and most of her teeth are missing. That is why her cute little tongue doesn't stay in her mouth. When she first came to me her nails hadn't been cut in a very long time. It took several cuttings to get them back in shape. She also has a skin condition that had been neglected. It had caused her to lose much of her coat. Care, feeding, and medical attention has brought much of it back.

She is just one of the unadoptables that reside in our foster care homes. We are committed to allow these special needs pets to live out their lives with the dignity and the care they deserve. They live along side of all the precious dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens that we are looking for permanent homes for. She has done more for me than I could ever do for her!!

Thanks for reading about my girl!

Cat

She is a lovely cat to photograph, these shots were taken last year.
Hoping to get some more when her fur finally grows back after her summer trim.
