How about just a few yards from my home? Just across the road from my front door is a corn field that is owned and managed by a local dairy farm. Besides the rows of dried corn stalks, there is also an abundance of dried out weeds and grasses that catch the late afternoon sun and reflect back a variety of rich burnt-orange, gold, yellow, and brown colors.

I closed down the aperture and slowed down the shutter speed to capture
the motion of the leaves as they blew horizontally in the wind while the
stalks remained vertical and still


Not sure if this is a member of the thistle family. Regardless, it is an example of the many things that caught my
eye besides the corn stalks.
