I've always voted for individual images that impressed me, even though they didn't show up in a vote list. Some galleries have a number of individual images that impress me, but even if there is only one that impresses me -- I want to recognize that.

the votes have been shown on the lists, the lists were just not advertised(exposed, actively linked) anywhere here at times, so hardly anybody voted for individual images very much at all.

Usually, only people dedicated enough to vote for there own images were the people voting. Some people even had 3 votes per image.......hmmmmmm BEFORE he reactivated the link. A whole gallery full of images voted on 3 times hmmmm.

Here is one of the absolute best bird photos I have ever seen! If this one doesn't deserve a vote, then nothing does. You can see every delicate feather and "feel" the fluffiness. Look at the clarity of the eye. And I love the expression.
