How to do a Signature

Hello, Can you explain how to do signatures? I have seen signatures on the lower left side, lower right side, outside the picture, on the frame, varying fonts, and not using your complete name. Is there a signature standard? What is the proper way of doing a signature, or is there no proper way, it also is art?

What software for signatures is there, photoshop, psp, or is there a signature software or plugin?

If the signature is on the picture itself, then it was done using image editing software. You could do it manually (using the Text tool in your image editor), or with some software there are ways to automate it.
