There are no original sized photos on here and the max pixel size I can spot is around 700X500...not all that large really. No body has posted anymore than three images which is within the rules.

Can't even have a contest for fun without someone crying

Would it be worth starting a poll thread asking if this rule should be removed or changed to a “Largeâ€

Uhmmmm - yes there are - most of them are originals (unless I have misunderstood how the URLs are built on this site - they do not have the medium.jpg extension and some actually have the large.jpg extension).

....Also, they're more like 800+ on the whole. The diff between 700 and 800 is significant on smaller screen resolutions (eg. 800 max width). It's not just about the judges - think of the audience too.

If the links are built according to the guidelines then the judges can scoot off to the original to look at detail.

PS. ....and yes - I'm a disgruntled loser from the last contest :(.
I thought I stood a really good chance of winning given that I was up against a majority of shots that were going to be disqualified ;)

Why is it that when a poster disagrees with your post a majority of the time they resort to personal attacks?

And yes, there are plenty of original size images which exceed 700px on their longest side.

All I'm saying is that its annoying to attempt to scan through 40 some odd images that take a few seconds each to load (on my connection). Sheesh.

Lets get back to the contest, never mind the size of image posts.

If I worry about the pixel size, I'll have to disqualify almost every entrant...I guess that'll make it easier for me to judge though, even if I don't really enjoy the photo....If we want to play by the rules then I'll only judge the medium and smaller images, no problems there.

No personal attacks Charles....it's just general Forum behavior, I find...someone always has to bitch about something.
