Thanks for all the entries there were some excellent photos so well done everyone. Judging this was always going to be very difficult as beauty is well and truly in the eye of the beholder. That's why I chose photos which were beautiful to me so if I didn't pick yours then it's not neccessarily a reflection on your work, more a matter of my own personal taste.

This is very well done, soft focus is not exactly my cup of tea but the end result justifies it as it just works! Very nice.

For me this is the most evocative of all the shots and is what beauty is all about - the still peace of dawn and the mysterious dark waters of the river make me just want to get out on my own with the camera. Very very beautiful!

Hello Chasp, are you there????
I think that there should apply the rule concerning the posting of a new topic by the winner. The rule is clear that if the winner does not post the new topic in two days, the lead goes to the second place.
So lightmajestic has a job to inform now Chasp that if he does not post a new topic, the contest will go to kirstenmary.
Let's keep this thing alive, huh?!?!?!

Chasp has ben informed of this and seemed keen to host the next contest.
However if he has not posted a new contest by 11am BST 5th September then the honour falls to kirstenmary as 2nd place winner.
