just spent few weeks' time to try some flora shots in studio and chose 20 to post, have a look if you have time, and comments are very welcome.

the setup can be divided into 3 levels, from bottom to Top, firstly set the camera at the lowest level, face to the ceiling. fix a large glass in the middle level, and the fruits is placing on this glass, facing down to the camera. finally the black background is set to the highest level, facing down too. lighting set in between the level of camera and the glass, lighting through the glass to light the fruit. lighting from the side in order to create the shadow, and as result, a totally black blackground created.

this setup is a bit different from the normal table top lighting, hope it helps.

Great Kevin! Thanks very much, it really helps to have some idea how to get such amazing results with lighting. It looks like magic but there is a science there!
