How to take good fish pics

Post Sat Feb 07, 2004 3:01 am

Does anyone have any tips on taking aquarium fish pics? I shoot mostly fish in aquariums, pet shops, & my own tank. I find it very hard to take a good picture without using a flash. Most of the time there will be issue with taking pics with flash, because of reflection/refraction...etc.

Take a look at my existing pics. Let me know what you think.

The aquarium pictures look impressive! What I would reccomend is to illuminate the tank as best as you can, turn the flash off and take the shots. Set the camera on macro.

If you have manual function in the camera (most digitals have it and all SLRs do) you can play with the shutter speed, aperture and ISO.
