Eagles, Eagles, Eagles, Eagles!

Post Tue Feb 17, 2004 4:46 am

Bunch of new Eagle flight shots (about 16 new and more to come) from this weekend at Dubuque IA shot with a new lens. Look for them at the bottom of my raptor gallery:

Gene,
Just a question. Is the washed-out parts of the eagles head really there or is it a tad overexposed. Either way I like them. Hope to get the chance this summer when I get back to the states.

Gorgeous! I went to the Quad Cities area two weeks ago to shoot eagles but it was misty and snowing and visibility was poor...saw a bunch of them tho. Maybe I'll have more luck with the weather next year...would love some clear shots like you have here...NICE!

Hi,

No, the matures are not overexposed, but close. There is detail in the white. Its just a very contrasty bright day, and I think the tones are compressed leaving less detail. - Gene

It was beautiful clear, but cold, day, what luck! Its been gloomy for a month. I was really fortunate to have the great weather.
