Thanks everybody for their submissions.
It has been an hard chioce to chose a winner as all shots below are perfectly in tune with the contest.
Let's start with the honorable mentions (in no particular order):
I like the highly graphical look in this picture, how windows pass from light to darkness from top to bottom.
Well, this is really Yang & Yin. Very well seen.
I like a lot the contrast between the charred portion and the unburned wood.
Excellent capture and great interpretation of what I had in mind when I posted my contests. Backs and Faces, alive and still life.
Strong contrasting colours, human presence and its absence, left and right... Another excellent interpreation.
Going and coming, white and red... lovely long exposure shot.
Very tender image. I love how the two figures connect forming a circle.
Third place:
Black and white, men and women, uniform and fashion, live people and still life. Well that is just a great capture and an excellent B&W conversion.
Second place:
This is an outstanding shot, one of those that remains in your head and you bring with you everywhere.
First place:
I have chosen this picture as the winner for its extreme composition and crop, its strong contrast between the human presence walking in and the sign post telling him to go away, separated by still a long distance but both integral part of this stunning and breathtaking background.
Well JS, is up to you now!
Cheers
E.
