Let me first tell you that I found it very difficult to make a choice for the "winners".
There are so many great pictures in this topic.....

Honorable mention

Third place

Nice particular light and colors.

Second place

Great composition, original shot, the red colour of the umbrella is certainly an "eyes-catcher" making this man so "present" in front of the monumental tower of Pisa.

The winner : Bernd

Photography can be describe as "poetry for the eyes". This case could be a perfect example !

Congratulations for all these shots !

I have seen many excellent photos in this chapter of the competition and I realize it was hard for Peter to make a choice.
Thank you, Peter, for the third place you gave to one of my photo, I’m glad you have liked it.
My congratulations to all!
Have a nice weekend
Marisa

Congratulations to all the winners! Some terrific photos for sure. I’d like to add my applause to:

Niekirk for his wonderful reflection entries
Nickviv for his close up of raindrops
Michael Burlak for his shot of man at sunset thru rain-splattered car window
Aldeca for abstract closeups of rain
Artguer for his night street scene
Posiej for her well-composed flag shot
Seeannimage for colorful leaves in the rain
Eric Herbelin for color/composition in girl with umbrella on stairs
And, one of my very favorite pbase photographers, Marcel, aka mdejong, for his rainbow over boathouse pic.

I could go on...so many great shots here!

Thank's all for sharing your photos and thanks for the kind recognition of the one I submitted.Venice has so many different personalities. After a rain, it is a magical place.

The next show & tell competition will be normaly organised by Bernd.
I have send him a message on november 1st but had no response.
I will send him a new message today.
In case of no response from the winner, the second place should organize the S&T competition. I will also send a mail to the second place :Chris.

Sorry for not replying earlier. We have been traveling and had no Internet access for the last few days. Just got home to our winter home. We need tonight to get settled in. Tomorrow I'll post a my choice for the 102nd competition, if it's not too late.

Last but not least, I am tickled pink and humbled by being selected.

Bernd
