Photographers often use shapes within the composition to create a literal or implied frame within the frame of the composition. This frame within a frame directs the viewer's eye to one or more interest areas within the composition. I will be on the lookout for images that are formally sound and creative. Here are examples to get you going:
The frame often uses strong foreground elements.
A quite literal frame within a frame.
The frame can focus on only a portion of the image.
A partial frame create by architectural shapes and shadows.
Silhouettes and back lighting are often effective tools to use.
Good luck to all.
