145th Show & Tell Competition: Worship People Places - Winners

First off all pictures entered were high quality work, nice to see our thread staying top shelf.
My choices were not easy and reflect my tastes, photography is art. Thus subjective.
I wanted something global and that most would have some sort of idea near by to share.

So without further a due, here are my selections.


Honor Mention - Stuart JR


Stuart, you have some very nice works in your collection, a good eye.

I liked this one based on the composition.

Blair this is one fine picture.

Honor Mention - Church of the small town of Vik, southern Iceland - Matthias Hauss


Matthias had a super capture with nice light.

3.5 Place - Chris Pavona


It was hard to choose so third is kind of split. Both images were excellent captures.

3rd Place - Prayer and Solace - Ken Zaret


Ken's picture is gripping in the emotion of worship, nice capture Ken

2nd Place -Rats - Karni Mata Temple, Deshnok, India - John Paskey


This capture struck me, it is not what seems normal or often seen by many people.
It was a creative submission.

1st Place - Main Alter at Mount St. Michael - chasp


Chasp's picture really seem to put you standing in the building.
The magnitude mixed with some minimalism kept bringing me back.

Congrats to everyone, and sorry for the delay.

The loneliness and tones, stark land and the crosses standing alone but side by side.
It could just as easily been second, the top four were all very close and hard to choose placement.

Wow!! Big Surprise!... Given the number and quality of the entrees on this topic, I did not expect to be in this position at all. Fishit, thanks for the 1st place nod, and congrats to all of the other entrants and winners. Due to my schedule this weekend, It will take me till Sunday to turn around a new contest, and I hope my decision continues the record of great topics this series has deliverd.
