This can't be replicated as this wonderful sculpture has been pulled down for safety reasons:

As you can see, I spend a lot of time walking the beach. Looking for shapes in the foam is like looking for shapes in the clouds - you have to be ready when you spot them as they don't stay long

leaping trout

loon

lurking rockfish

(and as you may have guessed, I am also a bit of a fish-head)

I spend a great deal of my free time during the summer months photographing Ruby-throated Hummingbirds... this was a first for me...

My favorite "right place... right time" image... an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and a bee, sharing an echinacea bloom.

I was the only visitor at the Cincinnati Zoo during this snowy day. The cheetah was very interested to learn why I was there...

May not look that impressive, but anyone who has ever tried to get cats to do anything much less pose will know how unreproducible this shot is:

This is the shot that got me started on droplets. In this case, I was lucky enough (or patient enough) to get two at the same time:

Taken at Jökulsárlón beach. The week this picture was taken the government was creating a rock dam to prevent erosion that could undermine the bridge. Due to the dam, the ice covered beach will, and likely has, disappeared. While photographing the amazing beach a newly engaged couple arrived to celebrate. The very excited soon-to-be groom jumped onto one of the icebergs to pose for his fiance. In a country where people are few and far between, the rare perspective they provide is irreplaceable - needless to say right place, right time...and, obviously, the lighting didn't hurt.

Taken at the Newport Aquarium. You might be able to repeat it, but between the agility of the penguins, the frequent school groups, and the 1.5' lean over the guardrail, I say, " Good luck!!"
