In the Jarai minority (Center VietNam) a party is held on the 30th day after a person's death. There is heavy drinking and the more stangers you get to drink with you, the more blessings you obtain (from some gods?).

So I had to taste the various local made brews (when I told this to my more civilized vietnamese friends yhey were horrified).

This was taken during the moon festival in Hanoi. By lighting a candle inside the balloon, the hot air makes it go up in the sky. Sometimes you see tens of them, at various altitudes.

And the local minority girls are not adverse to the seduction of the spice boy.

We’ll shoot for “amusing culture”…

In Niagara at the Cham Shan Temple. This statue rocks.

In Vermont – do the rivers frequently catch on fire there?

I call this one “Tough Neigh-Bear-Hood”. It was the store front for, I believe, a Build-A-Bear shop. Marketing Fail!
